  • The UK is the second largest producer of e-waste per person in the world*. Despite the Right to Repair law (2021) forcing businesses to curb "planned obsolescence". Planned obsolescence is what causes many goods to become unusable after a certain length of time. And is very often intentional by manufacturers to push you into buying something new. Smartphones are one of the biggest examples of "planned obsolescence" in action. However, many don't realise the Right to Repair law is largely focused on whitegoods! And actually excludes phones, laptops and other small goods that account for largest portion of e-waste. With tech giants like Apple loudly opposing similar legislation in the US, you can see why the UK was hesitant to include smartphones in the initial Right to Repair law...     We're hiring! Supportwise IT Services are currently looking for a Part-Time Sales Executive Location: Royal Wootton Bassett, UK (hybrid opportunities available) The role will include: · Generate new business opportunities through outbound calls and social media networking. · Attend networking events to build relationships and promote our services. · Contact and nurture relationships with existing clients to explore new opportunities. · Manage and update client information using our CRM system to ensure accurate tracking of sales activities. · Participate in weekly sales meetings, which may be conducted in person or online, to discuss targets, strategies, and progress. · Oversee the contract management process, ensuring all contracts are accurately processed and managed. Pay: £13-15 per hour, depending on experience, with an objective to increase this after 6 & 12 months. Alongside a commission for contracts secured.
